Teddy Bear Hospital
One event that has been with us form the beginning and has shaped our student group and initiative is the Teddy Bear Hospital. The core aim of the Teddy Bear Hospital is to familiarize children to health care environments and medical treatments in a fun and interactive way!
By creating a positive interaction between the child and the “Teddy Doctor”, the Teddy Bear Hospital aims to overcome fears and anxieties children may hold concerning the hospital environment and its health professionals.
At the same time, The Teddy Bear Hospital also endeavors to educate children and promote healthy lifestyle behaviors including healthy eating, exercise and good sleep – using teddy bears as a playful way of communicating medical information and facts about health in their every day lives.
We visit the International Primary School In Poznan every semester and spend time with younger as well as older pupils. It is always a lot of fun for the children as well as the teachers and us students and we hope to continue this wonderful tradition.
